Ah, Mother's Day. It's a time to reflect on your children and the role that you have in their lives. Oh yeah, and it's a day to celebrate you : )
My amazing husband gave me a day all to myself. He told me to leave and do whatever I wanted to do. No limits. Being a SAHM, sometimes I wish every weekend was like that :0) It was so sweet of him, and I took full advantage of it.
I made breakfast for the boys, knowing I wasn't going to see them all day. I got dressed then left around 10. I ran some errands first, and then headed to the mall for some retail therapy. A new purse was first on my list, and new sunglasses second. After that, I went to Barnes & Nobles and picked up "The Glass Castle" by Jeannette Walls (Really good book so far, very funny! If you like Augusten Burroughs, she's right up your alley). I discovered I could get the book cheaper at Target (haha), so I went there and picked up the book and some good movie theater food. Then, I went out for Chinese with Sarah & Jody, and I must say I ate so much I thought I'd burst. My crab wontons were seriously the size of my head. Then, we went to Dutch Brother's and picked up $1 smoothie (I'm really going to miss them!) and I headed home. THEN, I went to redbox, picked up "The Blind Side" and curled up on my bed and relaxed. SO...that was my day!! Oh yeah, and Ryan picked up a Coldstone Cake while out with Connor. Strawberry Cheesecake : )
So you wonder, what did Ryan do with Connor? The pictures are below, and Ryan came home wanting to do this every weekend with him : ) Thanks again Hun!
