Connor's Birthday Party

Originally Ryan and I decided that we were just going to do a family birthday party for Connor's 2nd Birthday, in which we went to a Safari and had an nice dinner. After doing some thinking, we decided to have a friend birthday party for him at Pump It Up Jr. A lot of the people we've met in Portland have become family to us, and with us possibly leaving, we wanted to make sure we got the kids together and had some fun!

Basically, this place has giant inflatables that the kids can bounce on, or slide down. We've been there before for what they call "Pop In Playtime" in which they have a special time reserved for the 3 and under crowd. Their party package included a private 1/2 hour in one part of the place, and 1/2 hour in the other part and then 1/2 in the party room where you eat and do gifts. Great deal!

Overall, 8 of his friends came, and had so much fun! Connor just kept laughing and throwing himself around the inflatables, and just had pure fun with his friends. It was great to see him so happy : ) Here are some pictures that we took, but they don't do any justice to the fun that the kids had!!

Pirate Park

So after a few hours of Jody and I walking, and driving around, we finally found the hidden gem, known as "Pirate Park". It's a park nestled back in a community that is so hard to find, not many people know about it. Jody and I walked around a path for an hour when we determined that the park was no where near where we were. Jody finally asked someone in the neighborhood where it was, and we weaved our way back until we stumbled upon it.

The park has 3 different play structures, a sand pit, 2 sets of slides, and a structure that's shaped like a pirate ship.We played for a while and then had a picnic lunch on the grass. Life sure is good as depicted in the photos below : )

Connor's 2nd Birthday Suprise : Part III

As many of you know, his ELE gets taken everywhere. It's like Linus and his blanket. I have to wash him regularly and all of the stuffing in his neck is gone. He's obsessed with him. Because of this, we thought it would be a lot of fun to get the car washed by an elephant. You pay a certain price, and the elephant uses a sponge to wash your car and his trunk to splash it. Connor was a little scared at first, but once I think he realized that the elephant couldn't get in the car he was fine. We got some great video, along with some pictures that someone took from outside of the car.

After we finished with the Safari, the trek home began. We knew it was going to be another 3 hours until we got home, so we let Connor sleep on the way back, and decided we wanted to take him out for his birthday. We took him to Applebees where he enjoyed his chicken tenders and fries, and thanks to Dada, a whole lot of Bleu Cheese haha. He was really scraping along the little bowl for whatever he could find. At the end, he got a very special ice cream sundae, in which he decided to eat the fudge and then eat our dessert. He was so stinkin' happy, he and Dada ran around outside the restaurant until it was time to drive home..
