Connor's First Time Bowling

Instead of sitting at home sulking because we had missed the biggest holiday of the year with our family in Buffalo, we decided to spend some more time as a family and try our hand at bowling. Now you're wondering how in the world we managed to take a 2 year old bowling and keep his attention the entire time. Answer, it was easy! We knew it was something he wanted to try, we picked the end lanes as not to disturb any of the other bowlers, and we were extremely patient with him. Oh yeah, and he was in an exceptional mood that day : ) After Ryan got ready (yes, he gets "ready" for bowling), he showed him what to do and had him pick whether or not to roll the ball, or use the ramp that was provided for us. He switched every now and then, seeing as it was exciting to what the ball roll off the ramp. I think the best part was the amazement on Connor's face as he watched the ball roll down the lane and knock over pins. To know that he did that all by himself was a huge accomplishment for him (he's in that "I can do it by myself" phase!) It was such a success, we ended up buying another game after we finished the first TWO.

Note to parents: Extreme soreness occurs the next day for them!
