Ann Arbor Hands On Museum

Another day, another exploration! Ryan was going away to a Michigan State football for the day with some coworkers, so Connor and I decided to venture out to Ann Arbor and try out their museum. Our first stop was Tim Hortons for a little lunch, and then a peaceful drive to our destination while Connor napped.

When we got there and paid, the first thing we noticed was a set of stairs that were in the shape of piano keys. When you walked up them, they made music like in the movie "Big". It was quite the hit. Connor ran up and down the stairs just so he could listen to the music lol. We proceeded to some more exhibits, such as foam blocks to build, an ambulance to explore, train tables, an exhibit on the human body and much more. After roaming and playing, we came across a toddler room, which was much more appropriate for his age & size. They had a water table, dress up, books, puzzles and so much more. We spent about 2 hours there, and I felt bad leaving because he had so much fun there. We will be back, but for $8 a person I wasn't overly impressed. It seemed pricey for a children's museum! Pictures are worth a thousand words : )

The piano keys

 Checking out someone else lol

 Sharing with me : )

Choo-Choo!

 Trying out the gurney

When Connor pedaled, the skeleton's bones moved to show which bones you were using.
I think he was confused : )

 Playing music with flip-flops

Blowing the balloon around

Enclosing himself in a giant bubble

Using different household items to see if they made bubbles. Great experiment!!

Brushing for fossils

Cleaning the rocks

Checking out the fish

Playing with magnets

A typical pretend phone conversation with Connor:
"Hi, Grandma? Ok, bye-bye!"
Short and sweet : ) Just like him!

Cranking the traffic light

Dance show

Making the guitar play

Watching how bees work

Funnel fun! (Say that 10 times fast!)

Firefighter Connor to the rescue!

This was a great water table : )

Playing with the animals

Still at the water table..

Haha, I wish I would have left his hair long for this one :p

A firefighter who can fight puzzles = awesome!

Discovering the effects of light
