Vroom, Vroom!

Detroit isn't called Motor City for nothin'! If you've been living under a rock your entire life, then you wouldn't know that Detroit is the home to all of the major car companies that are American made. One perk to that is we get museums dedicated to them, including Ford & Chrysler. Tiffany, Marc & Colin invited us to check out the Chrysler museum with them one weekend (Ryan was working on the new house) and it gave us a chance to step back in time and see the progression of the automobile.

I was quite impressed with the way the museum was set up. On the main floor and upper floor they have models of old cars with facts and trivia on them, and on the lower level the little ones could sit in the driver/passenger side and pretend to drive. They also had an area where they could make their own car, and then get "feedback" from the board members on whether or not the car was a viable option. It was cute, and Connor and Colin ran around the entire time awing at cars. BOYS!

Checkin out the car

The only car seats you can actually stand on and get away with it :p

Look Ma, no hands!

He's got some time...

Colin wasn't amused either :p

I turned around, and he manged to climb up the exhibit to press the button Haha!!

Curious...Curious George!

We heard Curious George was coming to town, so we picked up a few new DVD's for Connor since he had never seen him before. We started watching them a few months before the show to get him familiar with the characters, and thankfully he enjoyed watching them. There's just something about that crazy little monkey : )

Venturing into downtown Detroit was not something we were looking forward too, but going to the Fox Theater was quite intriguing. When we got there and walked in, we were in absolute awe, as it was gorgeous inside. It reminded us of seeing Broadway shows when we'd go to Toronto back in the day. After gawking, they gave each kid a chef hat (since the show was centered around meatballs and cooking) and proceeded to get some snacks. We got great tickets (fourth row) and had a great time overall. There was a lull in the middle of the show, which was probably my fault because I decided to get him a Curious George wand, and he could really care less about the show from that point on, but it was well worth the money. Here are the pics from the show : ) He looked like he had fun!?
