After talking with some moms in the area, Connor and I decided to check out the Kulick Center. It's a community center in Ferndale, MI that offers an open gym and a separate indoor play center. The gym part has hockey sticks, a bounce house, basketballs and a tumbling area. The indoor play center (which operates under different hours) has a kitchen, block area, truck area, workshop, tumbling area, and tons more. For $2 a visit ($10 punch card = 5 visits) it's a steal! You can have a great day in the warmth without breaking your bank : ) Check out the fun Connor had!

The Great Pumpkin Patch
Yes, I know. The date above this post says December 7th. So you may be asking yourself, why is she posting Halloween pictures 2 months late!? Well, it's called being a mom and homeowner. Connor is quite the active 2 year old. Aside from that our new house hasn't been in move-in-ready condition, so we've been working around the clock to get us moved in before the holidays. I figured I'd post some things from earlier months in hopes that I one day catch up!
The weekend we closed on our new house, I decided to take Connor and head to Buffalo so Ryan could get some work done. It was a perfect time of year to enjoy the Halloween festivities, so we decided to check out a fantastic pumpkin patch. Everyone in Buffalo knows about the Great Pumpkin Patch in Clarence, so we decided to give it a try and have the boys pick out their own pumpkins. The thing I love about doing these things, is that they are usually all inclusive. You buy a wristband and can do everything they have to offer or for a small fee. They had a petting zoo, tractor ride, cow train, rides, food and of course pumpkins. Connor loved hanging out with his cousins Joe & Thomas, and the weekend was perfect. They had so much fun!

Hoogah & Boogah
We went to the Hoogah & Boogah Halloween show at the gorgeous Somerset Mall with our friends Katrina & Nicholas. We got there early, had a smoothie and treat, watched the show and enjoyed the company of great new friends. The show was amazing and held the attention of my little one for almost the entire show. Oh yeah, and he got to wear his adorable Halloween costume. As I've said, and now Connor says, "Life is good!"

Zoo Boo!
I'm such a lucky woman living in the city we live in. I can't say one negative thing about our new place we call home! It is just so kid friendly, and there's never a shortage of things to do : )
We heard about the Zoo Boo from our friend Tiffany, and she suggested going since Colin enjoyed it in years past. You dress up in your costume, and trick or treat around the zoo while enjoying the scenery. You can't really see the animals since they block off a good area of it, but it allows you to trick or treat in a safe environment for a nominal fee. We had so much fun this year, and Connor got some great goodies!
