Here Comes Peter Cottontail...

Easter was a very special time for us this year, as we had been itching to get some big news off our chests. In order for us to do so, we had to make our rounds to family members and fill them in on the next chapter of our lives!

Our first stop was Grandma & Grandpa's house. As usual. we were very spoiled when we went there (there really is no place like Moms house!). Connor made some very special cookies with Grandma, read some books and jumped on some giant bubble wrap rolls which tends to irritate the bejesus out of Grandpa. HA!

Our last stop was Bruce & Sue's house for a big Easter dinner, complete with a scavenger hunt, amazing food, and great company. Oddly, no one noticed our little surprise on Connor's shirt! (See below!) Truly a holiday we won't forget : )

Jungle Java

BOYS. They tend to have so much more energy than girls. They seem to have a greater need for speed, and truly wear me out just watching them. I think that's why Jungle Java was started up, because the owners knew they'd always be in business. Think about a one level play structure, complete with ropes, slides, stairs and adventures, and TRIPLE it's size. Not only is it fun for the kiddos, but mamas can grab a bite to eat and a smoothie and relax while being able to watch their kids burn off some of that energy before nap time!

Flipspot Gymnastics

Our local MOMS Club set up a playdate for a new gymnastics place not too far from us. It's usually a good way to check a place out without having to spend and an arm and a leg, and for them it's great advertising! Connor has always been a fan of doing gymnastics, sometimes in safer places than others, so we made the time to go and visit. Since it was a newer facility, everything was clean and gently used, and best of all, it didn't smell like sweaty feet yet :p The instructors gave the kids some free time to check things out, followed by some structured parachute play and obstacle courses. Every single kid that went had a great time, and we got some great pictures to capture the day!

Daddy's Little Helper

Everyone knows when you buy your first house you are inevitably going to have some work to do. I don't think Ryan and I realized how much we were going to have, but everything is a learning experience I suppose : ) We decided to tackle the front yard first, which entailed ripping out endless bushes, trees and weeds. Connor didn't want to be left out, so we gave him some work to do!!
